Detroit Diesel and Mercedes Benz engine control modules may have event data that is shown in the DDEC Reports Diagnostics Pages. These data may be overwritten with new fault codes.
The DDEC 13 system comprises the Common Powertrain Controller (CPC), Motor Control Module (MCM) and the Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM). On systems with the DT12 transmission, the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the multi-function shifter lever is also part of the system. These modules communicate on the powertrain CAN network at 666,000 bits/second.
The DDEC Reports data is stored on the CPC, which is inside the cab. The connections to the MCM, ACM, TCM, and shifter paddle are simulated on the SSS-CPC4 only units. This setup reduces the need for connecting the other modules.
CAUTION: The SSS-DDEC4 Model Year 2016 DDEC 13 have been re
